A Beautiful Sunny Day in City Park

A Beautiful Sunny Day in City Park

It is a beautiful sunny day, a perfect day to go out in open air. I invited Marilia, Simone, and Fabricio to walk to the City Park. It is near Dillard, so we arrived there in approximately 25 minutes.
The first interesting thing that I saw were people playing a strange game. I was curious and asked someone about this game. A man told me that it is called Ultimate. It is a sport played with a disc called Frisbee. The goal of this sport is to pass the disc to your teammate in the end zone of the opposing team. I think it seems a little like American football, but Ultimate does not have a referee. I guess this sport can be extremely cool. The players on the field look like they really appreciate it.
Around the field where they were playing, there is a bike lane and many people are using it in different ways. I can see people running, walking, riding bicycles, and roller blading. I kept on walking and stopped at the Sculpture Garden. I heard that there are over sixty sculptures from artists all over the world. The best thing about the Sculpture Garden is its free admission. This is my favorite place in City Park.
Today, the Sculpture Garden has many visitors. I saw a group of students from Harvard. They were taking pictures in front of a sculpture of a big spider. It can be scary to people that do not like spiders, like me. That was the biggest spider that I had ever seen. On the left side, there is another sculpture which looks like a man made of metal sitting on the floor embracing his legs. On the right side is my favorite sculpture. It was built with the word love. It is red with the first syllable, “LO” above the second syllable, “VE”.  I heard that this is a famous sculpture because a bigger version of this exists in New York City.
In the middle of City Park, there is a large lake. There I saw a man on a boat. He wore Italian clothes and sang an Italian song. He wanted to show a little bit of the city of Venice in Italy. I was standing on a bridge and he flagged me down. It was extremely kind and polite. I waved back at him and smiled.
In front the lake, there is a beautiful open place and I could see people getting married there. I saw the bride and the groom, and the men and women wore elegant suits and dresses.

In conclusion, I think that all the places in City Park are beautiful. It has a connection with nature, animals, and humans. It is a place for everybody. It does not matter if the person is an adult or a child. There are many interesting and fun things to do for all ages. You can relax, run, walk, play games, read a book, sit under a tree or do anything that you want to. I like City Park and today I had a wonderful experience.
